As the weather warms up, Haut-Kœnigsbourg Castle opens its doors in the evening, as part of the 8th European “Museums at Night” programme. This annual night-time opening illuminates the Alsatian fortress and its collections, in a poetic springtime atmosphere.
The evening also provides opportunities to enjoy cultural facilities in Sélestat. Indeed, the Municipal Archives, the Humanist Library, Evasion, the Frac Alsace (regional contemporary art collection), the La Ligne Bleue and La Paix art galleries, the Maison du Pain (House of Bread), the Media Library, the Office of Culture, the Town of Sélestat, and Schaufenster have associated with the castle to provide a festive evening in central Alsace.
Practical tip: the Bas-Rhin County Council is providing a free shuttle all evening long between the castle and Sélestat.
