Description

Visiting key areas such as the kitchen, cellar and lower courtyard, group members discover semi-autarkic life in a mountain fortress at the end of the Middle Ages. How did castle inhabitants preserve food? What part was played by hunting, fishing, gardening, raising animals, etc? Participants touch, sniff and taste spices, prepare a hippocras and discover the pleasures of the medieval table through various media.
