Price conditions for individuals

Any visitor who is entitled to a discount on his castle admission fee must be able to show relevant, up to date documentation supporting his claim to any such discount. 
Access to the castle tour circuit is granted only on presentation of a valid entrance ticket, regardless the price paid for the ticket (also applies to visitors who are entitled to a free entry to the castle).

 

Admission is free for:

  • Young people aged under 6 (minors must be accompanied by an adult) (Identity card or passport)
  • Accredited lecturers and guides (official accreditation)
  • Journalists (press pass)
  • Helpers of disabled visitors (document from the disabled person issued by the relevant authorities)
  • Disabled or permanently scarred ex-servicemen and their helper (relevant document confirming their status)
  • Job seekers (recent - less than 3 months old - attestation)
  • Members of the I.C.O.M. (International Council of Museums) and the I.C.O.M.O.S. (International Councile on Monuments and Sites) and holder of the Ministry of Culture and Communication card (ICOM or ICOMOS membership card - Ministry of Culture and Communication card)

 

Reduced admission - €6:

  • Students and apprentice (valid student or apprentice card for the year in question)
  • Teaching staff (attestation of their professionnal status from their local education authority or educational institution for the year in question)
  • Holders of Haut-Koenigsbourg shuttle bus tickets (line 500 - réseau Fluo Grand Est network) (shuttle bus ticket for the day in question)
  • Holders of the Council of Europe "Cultural identity card" (Council of Europe staff pass)
  • Holders of the "Carte d'Hôte" (duly completed card or coupon "Carte d'hôtes")
  • Holders of admission tickets for Hohlandsbourg Castle, the Humanist Library in Sélestat, Lichtenberg Castle and Fleckenstein Castle
  • All paying visitors in the event of the closure of part of the castle's tour circuit (not applicable to visitors who have purched theit tickets in advance)
  • All paying visitors in the event of interventions/installations on the visitor circuit causing poor reception conditions (not applicable to visitors who have purched theit tickets in advance)
  • Disabled people (on presentation of evidence from the relevant authorities)

 

Special cases of multi-site partner passes:

    • Free admission (excluding supplements for special activities or visits) when the visitor passes through the ticket office on presentation of the Museums-PASS-Musées or the Pass'Alsace (on presentation of the valid pass).

Museums-PASS-Musées -  Sale at reduced rate - €113:

    • On training person, people with disability, job seekers, teachers and members of museums support committees (on presentation of a suitable evidence)
