Monument's life
Armour through the ages
For five days, the six prestigious armour suits, restored and returned to theKaiser hall at the end of November 2022, were dismantled, dusted (using vacuum cleaners and brushes), waxed, polished and meticulously examined so that they could be reassembled on their respective brackets and admired in all their splendour under the supervision of two restorers (Anne-Catherine Goetz for the leather and Bluenn Boulangé for the metal) and four Haut-Koenigsbourg castle staff members trained in conservation.
