SlowUp in Alsace - changes to the shuttle bus route on Sunday June 7th

SlowUp in Alsace
changes to the bus route on day xx june

Alsace's leading tourist event, with over 44,000 participants in recent years, the route takes in 11 towns at the foot of Haut-Koenigsbourg, over a 38km route (with loops of 7, 8, 11, 16 and 19km) with 12 festive stations between Sélestat, Châtenois, Bergheim and Dambach-la-Ville.

This festive, sporting and gourmet day puts the Route des Vins and the Véloroute du Vignoble in the spotlight on a route closed to all motorised traffic, to be explored at your own pace, on foot, by bike or on rollerblades.

The slowUp Alsace is a free event set up to promote Alsace wines, wine tourism and cycle tourism in Alsace with the help of nearly 1,000 volunteers. Initiated by Alsace Destination Tourisme and now organised by the association ‘slowUp Alsace de la Route des Vins’, the event is made possible by the municipalities, communities of municipalities, tourist offices, local associations, the European Collectivity of Alsace, the Grand Est Region and the support of numerous private partners.

The public will be able to rediscover at their own pace the fabulous landscapes of the area, its Wine Route and its extraordinary heritage.
You can also visit Haut-Koenigsbourg castle in Châtenois !

Due to the slowUp, the shuttle bus timetable has changed.

Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, the Volerie des aigles and the Montagne des singes remain accessible all day via Kintzheim on the D159.

The descent will be via Lièpvre.
